Digital Strategy Is A Must Do

10 years ago you might have viewed a digital presence and strategy as a "nice to do.” Well, today it is a "must do.” Think about it, you check out products online, get reviews online, order your pizza online, check out a new physician online, etc.

In short, we usually get online and seek information regarding any major purchase or decision. So, why would you NOT expect consumers to check you out? They do, and many times make a decision based on what they see.  

A bad website, or a cheap website, means that you might not be as good as the competitor. Or, worse yet, they may think of you as a dinosaur that hasn't embraced technology. I know this is not what you want to happen. If you feel like other advisors, you may feel overwhelmed and not sure where to start. Well, you are reading the right blog and you have come to the right place.
 
The first thing we need to do... Analyze where you are and what you have.
What do you want your site to say and do? What do you want your site to project? And, does you current website need tweaking or a complete re-do? What are the next steps?
 
Establish credibility and trust. 
Yes, in most cases, you won't meet most of the people that go to your site. But you want to make sure that the site instills confidence, and establishes you as the "go to person" in the field that you specialize.
 
Build content. 
Yep, print, audio and video. Are you good at doing this, or do you need to outsource? Do your clients and prospects have access to concept info on your site? If not, are you a good writer and can you handle that or are you better off getting new clients and making sales?
 
Promoting online.
What about Google ad words or Facebook advertising? How is your SEO? This may be confusing, so where do you turn? Let me cut to the chase. You turn to Ohlson Group.
